NOT THE EASIEST THING IN THE WORLD

Ugh. There are actually two new comics up. One for Thursday and one for Friday, which is the one currently on display. I uploaded them both at the same time yesterday, but Keenspace is apparently unable to count. They've got this automatic system where you can pload your comics either numbered (i.e. 001.gif, 002.gif, etc.) which I use, or by date, (i.e. 20030617.gif, 20030619.gif, etc.) I use the numbered system because Keenspace doesn't seem to reliably now the date. When I first started Hard Underbelly a couple of months ago, Keenspace kept insisting it was January. This led to real problems when I was setting up comics, so I caved and just went with sequential numbers. Unfortunately I'm now discovering that Keenspace's script is unable to realize that even though the last comic was number 45, and both 46 and 47 have now been uploaded, I really do want to show 46 before 47. It seems like such a basic concept. If I knew how to write this auto-updating script, and had done so, doesn't it make sense that it should go sequentially as opposed to just grabbing the last comic in the comics directory? I think it would.
Anyway, since I'm at my mom's house I have none of my comic management stuff. So I had to go and download an ftp client to use here, and then download the index and edit it to put a little message about missing a comic. I did it there because, let's face it, no one reads this news page.
Also, I'm hoping that PixelPrincess.org gets fixed soon, because it's becoming apparent that that is where most of my readers come from. I've gotten about a fourth less hits since her site's been down. Sad.
On the "internet company does good" front, Blogger has now switched back to their old system, just with a nicer GUI. I know it doesn't look any nicer to you, but it is now a lot easier for me to do this little news posts.

COMPLETELY DISCONNECTED FROM REALITY
Mood: Productive
Music: For The Wars; by Clinic
I mentioned that I was at the Alderwood mall yesterday. I was in EB Games for a part of that time. I wasn't there to buy, but just to browse. I was looking at the Star Wars Galaxies package when I found this quote, which I am now paraphrasing: "Follow many different jobs, or maybe even become a Jedi Knight."
Who do they think they're kidding? Everyone is becoming a Jedi Knight. People aren't buying SWG and saying, "Man, I can't wait to be a moisture farmer. That's so cool." Fucking no. They're saying, "Man, I can't wait to be a Sith Lord. Or a Jedi Knight. Really anything where I can use force powers to push around a Jawa is great." Maybe become a Jedi? Please.

Music: It's In Our Hands; by Bjork
Okay. We've got a new comic up. There will also be a new comic up on Thursday, as well as one on Friday. Why am I being so nice? 'Cause I'm going to be away from my computer for at least a week. Thus, these will be the last comics for some time. There may be a new comic as early as late next week, but I can't promise anything.
I'm applying at a store in the mall called 'Express Men'. It sounds to me like a male escort service famous for it's punctuality, but it's actually a clothing store. Hip clothes, too.
