SHIPS PASSING IN THE NIGHT
Mood: Good
I think Matthew Perry should be in the West Wing more. Tonight's episode was pretty good, probably the strongest of the new season so far. The writting still isn't as clever as it was with Aaron Sorkin at the helm, but the plot is good. It's funny. NBC made a big deal about how it was going to be a more politically balanced show now, but if anything, it's gotten even more bitter. In the next episode, they actually shut down the government to fight the Republicans. Bipartisan my ass.
I'm really tired of the show "American Dreams". My big problem with it is the fact that it was brought out in a post 9/11 era with an ad campaign designed to convince people that life was all peachy back in the day. They've had episodes about racism and whatnot, but I don't like it when things get misadvertised like that intentionally. It's underhanded. Also, I'm tired of the fact that the last three episodes have all been advertised as "An exceptional hour of television". Y'know, if once in a season, they said that about an episode, maybe I could buy it. But since they say that all the fucking time with that show, I can't help but think that they're just blowing smoke.
FF X-2 comes out on the 19th. That'll be fun. I hope.

I LOVE A FEW THINGS, AND YOU ARE ONE OF THEM
Mood: Good
Music: Pushing The Sky; by Seatbelts
Okay, I've made some serious additions to the Hard Underbelly Store. The first is a shirt that simply says "You really do whinge on, you know that?" It's is, of course, taken directly from this strip. The next product is one I'm very excited about, and it is the Fucking Up Democracy jersey. It's taken from a Not All There I did for the Ticket recently. I'm planning on making another page on Hard Underbelly where I will post Not All There comics, but it might not happen. My fear is that if I do that, Not All There's slightly broader appeal could make it the more popular of my comics available on-line, and then I'd feel kind of stupid pouring all this energy into Hard Underbelly when my side project is much more successful. Kind of like when a musician has a side band that is way more popular than their main gig, and then they feel like a moron every time they release an album.
