Hard Underbelly

The official news spot for Hard Underbelly.

Uh, yeah... I'm sorry about the no comic today. There will be new comics Thursday and Friday, so it'll all work out.

Mood: Good, but very tired
Music: Son Of An Astronaut; by Butterflies

Three hours of sleep + Emerald City Comic-con = extremely exhausted Tristan. It was a good con. Good free swag. The Penny Arcade both is noticably quieter and less in demand when Tycho and Gabe aren't there. Darick Robertson, Brian Bendis, and Greg Rucka were sitting side by side at the autograph tables. Bendis has got a line going all the ay to hell and back via the scenic route, while you could just walk up to Rucka and Robertson and get an autograph in about five minutes. Pity Rucka and Robertson, for it must be kind of depressing, and pity Bendis, whose hand will probably fall off by the end of the day.

The most amusing sight at the con happened while I was leaving. A small squad of Imperial Stormtroopers and Crimson Guard approached the building. Let's just say that some of those Stormtroopers weren't exactly up to the Empire's health and fitness standards. Listen people, cosplay responsibly. If you're too fat to be a Stormtrooper, then go as a Hutt or Porkins or something. Pick something that at least loosely matches your body type.

Ending Music: How To Disappear Completely; by Radiohead
