The official news spot for Hard Underbelly.

Okay, here goes: Hard Underbelly is not ending or anything, but I might have to scale it back again. I used to only do it three times a week you know. You've been lucky. Hopefully it won't be necessary at all.

Why is there a potential problem? Here's why: I'm starting a new comic. It's a project I've been itching to get started on since early this year, but then, Hard Underbelly was occupying all of my time. I've come to a decision that I'm just way to enthusiastic about this project to wait for a couple years for Hard Underbelly to end to get started on it, and I recently found myself planning to cut entire story arcs from Hard Underbelly to get it over with. I feel that it's unfair to Hard Underbelly, and my tiny handful of loyal readers if I were to do that. To that end I've decided, fuck it, I'll just have to cut back on recreational activities to make more time for drawing and writing. On top of that, I've still got Not All There, and another, mildly secret comic project that I've got to work on. I don't want to stop doing Not All There. I've been doing it for five years, and I'd hate to end that part of my life. It's pretty much my last tie to the island I grew up on. Well, besides my brother, but I digress.

In any event, my new comic, the Wrong Band, should get started in the next couple of weeks, and all of this multiple comic writing stuff is totally unproven. We'll see if I'm physically and mentally capable of it.

I just watched the series premiere of 'Lost'. I hereby declare it to be the most astounding and great new tv show of the season. It's created by J.J. Abrams, who created Alias, so you know it's good. There was some next level shit going on in that show. It's also got a glut of interesting actors from various things, most notably Dominic Monaghan of LoTR fame. I don't know what that huge fucking thing in the woods was, but you can bet I'll keep watching to find out. This show is right up my alley. I'm salivating for more and I'm royally pissed that I have to wait a whole week.

I'm going to start off with the really cool news: If any of you caught the Emmy's last night, the lavender dress being worn by Sharon Stone was designed by my close friend Melissa. What makes this uber cool is that Melissa is not some high and mighty fashion designer, she's a 19 year old who just started fashion school in New York this fall. Way cool.

I've now seen Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence. It is good. It has the best basset hound animation you're likely to ever see.

Wet Hot American Summer is one of the funniest movies ever made. EVER.
